Who knew Gabriel Serrano (the small time swindler who along with Poppy, turned out to be fauxialites as per Chuck Bass) was the true "blue blood" of the cast?
Armie Hammer, the actor who plays Gabriel, just happens to be the great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer. He joins Vanity Fair's list of "38 of the World's Most Eligible Heirs and Heiresses - YOUNG, GORGEOUS AND RECESSION-PROOF! " (see June 2009 issue). He tells Vanity Fair about the travails of being a Hammer, "It was definitely a handful growing up. Kids are so cruel. My nickname was Baking Soda. I was like, 'You guys don't get it. I don't have anything to do with Arm & Hammer baking soda.'"
