Take note that Shanghais have a deliberately mismatched design. Big python scales on your right foot, smaller, cuter?! scales on your left. Why so? Maybe because it's hard to decide which one looks nicer, so with this, you get the best of both worlds?

Well, we don't have to go to Avenida, because global locals Anthology X Team Manila have joined forces to bring us Avenida:

Graphic design giant Team Manila recently collaborated with our favorite shoe label Anthology, for a nice run of three limited edition Shanghai flats, the Avenida Collection - Avenida Beige, Avenida Black and Avenida Camo. 

The Avenida Collection is available only at Team Manila stores for Php 1695.

Trivia: Did you know Avenida was once considered Manila's Theater District? It was the place where Hollywood movies reigned supreme. Eventually, it became home to live theater performances and where Filipino showbiz legends Dolphy & Kuya Germs honed their acting skills and comedy routines.

Shanghai-ed

In a good way! Don't you just feel compelled to buy this shoe? Doesn't this blog post induce feelings of want? Anthology is on a roll! This shoe, called "Shanghai" looks like it could be your go-to shoe if you're looking for something different. Part loafer, part ballet flat and seemingly inspired by NewbarK (“an English men’s slipper meets a Moroccan babouche meets something you might find at a Japanese spa" according to Maryam Malakpour as told to Vogue), except this looks a lot more sturdy and can withstand a lot of walking around, I can so see myself wearing this with skirts, shorts, slouchy grey sweatpants or harem trousers for that chill, effortless vibe!

These shoes aren't up on the website yet, but already available in all Anthem stores for Php2,795! Comes in gold, silver and black patent with rubber soles! Go get one, na!
