MUJI Launches Cotton Denim Series this Summer

If there is one fabric I can’t get enough of in my closet, it’s denim.

With three kids, anything denim is my default piece. It’s hard wearing, comfortable, and has the ability to make me look pulled together because it hardly creases.

It’s so easy to take care of too. Just throw it in the wash, and it looks brand new again. Actually, the older and more faded it gets, the better it looks.

As if denim can’t get any better, MUJI takes denim to a whole new level with the use of 100% Organic Cotton as a sustainable initiative, a conscious move to care for the environment.

All that without compromising comfort and style. I played dress up with a couple of pieces from the collection, and they’re just love. Love. Love.

The beauty of MUJI denim is that the fabrics are exposed to less color treatment and minimal wash to maintain their best, natural state and keep their true color and shape.

Oh, and one more thing about denim? Even if it looks great in its minimal state, it is also such a fun piece to dress up, and I can really inject each piece with my own personality.

Pieces from the MUJI Cotton Denim Series are so versatile, and are designed to complement other pieces to fill a mixed bag of stylish combinations, from denim on denim to the classic match up of jeans and a crisp white shirt.

That said, come on over to MUJI this month. Get 25% OFF on any DENIM for every garment purchase. Promo period is from March 6 to March 31, 2015.

Lee Keeps Us Curious with a Sneak Peek of A/W 2013 Styles

With September just about a week away, it is but fitting to show you the key lines that denim brand Lee® has come up with for fall/winter 2013.

These two lines look promising, enough to make me want to check out their concept store in Glorietta as soon as these babies drop.

‘Lee® Blue Label’ is a capsule collection designed for the denim connoisseur.

This premium line uses only Italian denim and gives attention to the minutest of detail: signature blue trims, tonal threads and a special blue leather patch.

The jeans have a soft feel, and yet ensure extra durability and comfort.

Key washings are the worn-vintage medium blues of Lightning Luxe and Break. Subtle whiskering and abrasions on the Rare, and a brooding dark dyed-over finish for the Easy Rinse. Tops come in hues, washed-out blue for the two button-downs.

Composed of 10 pieces with 5 jean styles, 4 complementing tops and one denim rider jacket, every piece is crafted with the discerning wearer in mind. To be worn for every day and any occasion.

Us girls have it good too!

Delivering superior fit and comfort, Lee® Stretch Deluxe jeans has built a strong following amongst the denim loving set, and for good reason.

Creating jeans from superior Italian fabric that stretches and recovers, this technology gives denim the elasticity to not only mold into your shape but hold it also. Side seams are moved forward, pushing in to make legs look slimmer and longer. Reconstructing the heritage blueprint, a new curved waistband stops jeans from gaping at the back.

The offering of fits this season include the ultra skinny Scarlett, a sexy tight pair that hugs the shape of your body from waist through the thigh, all the way down to the ankle. The high waist Skyler, is cut skinny to hug the shape of your body from waist through thigh and all the way down to the ankle to set off those feminine curves. The Jeggings has a low waist that skims the hips. It is cut skinny and hugs the shape of your body from the waist through thigh and all the way down the ankle.

All three fits are tinted with in-trend washing, including soft and light blues and a bright and fresh pure-as-snow white. Cool as ice.

Old But Gold

If you grew up during the 90s, then Linea Italia is something you're most likely familiar with. They used to have really good stuff, when they first broke into the scene. I was in high school at the time. All my guy friends from Ateneo High used to go there, for Closed denim and to ogle the leggy sales associates haha.

I managed to score a few good pieces from their store in Greenbelt back in the 90s. The only remaining piece from those days is this denim shirt. I've had this since I was 19, and it still looks current up to now. So yay for clothes that transcend time, and even look better as they age! Thank goodness it still fits too.
