Holiday 2015 with Melissa Shoes

Step into a Melissa store this month, and be prepared to have your breath taken away.

Behold the Campana Barroca, the latest line designed by the renowned Campana brothers for Holiday 2015.

Barocca takes inspiration from the romance and ornate design of Baroque Art, incorporating elements of budding blooms, wings and feathers, and even lizards.

These design features are “carved” into the malleable material of the shoe to create a wonderful and interesting texture.

Even Vivienne Westwood's Holiday pieces for Melissa are quite exquisite, and should go well with your favorite LBDs this season.

If you want something no frills, check out the Boemia. I like that black one in the middle...

But I ended up bringing home Jason Wu's Charlotte in green. It looks delicate, but isn't girly.

Berry has graduated from Mini Melissas to the kids and teens line of Melissa, Mel. Created in 2015, Mel is the new line for young ladies like Berry who have outgrown their Mini Melissa shoes, but not their love for the brand's fun plastic shoes.

Mel offers an edited collection appropriate for our not so little girls, filled with bows, sprinkles of glitter, and a whole lot of color. Most of the Mel styles have adult sized versions as well, to match with Mommy.

When it comes to cuteness though, nothing truly beats Mini Melissa.

Comfortably soft for baby feet, Mini Melissa has everything from big bows and little bows, pineapple heads, cats, giraffes, even Star Wars...

And Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

All these styles are now available in stores.

But wait, I need to give you a sneak peek of the SS2016 Collection too, Take me to Rio

This collection pays homage to the cool, laidback lifestyle of Rio de Janeiro. In soft pastel hues and mint green, as well as basic black and white, Take Me to Rio encapsulates the joy and optimism of the vibrant city. Perfect for long walks – whether by the beach or just at the mall. Watch out for this collection in stores, by February 2016!

Pick up your latest pair at any of the following Melissa stores: TriNoma, Glorietta 3, Greenbelt 5, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM Aura, Alabang Town Center, Robinsons Magnolia, UP Town Center, Shangri-la Plaza East, Marquee Mall and Centrio Mall.

Mini Melissa + My Mini Me

Moms and our Mini Mes in Melissa and Mini Melissa

A few weeks ago, a couple of us moms and our little girls were invited to an afternoon of shoes and sweets, thanks to Mini Melissa!

The area right outside Geleia in Shangri-la East Wing was a happy riot, with girls, young and old, unable to decide on which pretty shoe we'd want to wear.

Berry tried on at least five pairs before deciding on the Mini Melissa Ultragirl + Minnie in pink.

Meanwhile, I couldn't decide between these Vivienne Westwood flats and these Ultragirl + J. Maskrey beauties!

But it wasn't all just shopping ok? We nibbled on cookies, and other treats. There was a gorgeous candy buffet too - that was eventually raided by a swarm of adorable little girls, you can just imagine the sugar rush that followed soon after.

We also did some crafty activities, like this felt passport holder, and played some games, where Berry and I got to bring home a very plushy play mat for her soon to come little bro. Oh, we were so pleased!

Part of the fun of the afternoon was that we got to play dress-up in matching outfits! Berry and I wore our signature striped shirts. A navy Saint James mariniere for me, and an orange breton shirt from J. Crew crewcuts for Berry. Perfect for a colorful little girl!

Let me tell you, Berry's Mini Melissas are her current favorite pair these days. Not only are they super cute, they're very comfortable too! It's the only thing she ever wears now, when she's not wearing her school shoes, or her PE rubber shoes. Pinky swear!

Watch out for their new designs, coming out this month and in December! There's plenty to like!

There's even a "My First Mini Melissa", the most adorable present any doting Tita or Ninang can give a newborn baby girl!

Mini Melissa Shoes are available at Geleia (ATC, Trinoma, Mall of Asia, Shangri-la, SM Aura, Greenbelt 5, Magnolia, Megamall), Rustans (Makati, Shangri-la, Alabang Town Center), Mothercare (Greenbelt 5, GLorietta 4, BGC Active Fun, Magnolia, Shangri-la, Eastwood, Trinoma), Flatshop Eastwood and Greenhills, selected Shoe Salon stores, and at Shoe Thing (High Street, Greenbelt 5, Trinoma, Eastwood, Lucky Chinatown)
