I'm Back!

Sorry for disappearing just like dut.

Berry, Nana & I went to Manila for a quick trip for work-related stuff. So my days and nights were filled with meetings, brainstorming sessions and even a TV stint on ANC ShopTalk!

Please, be kind when watching my interview, oh and you might want to check out other ShopTalk episodes after (there's a particularly interesting one where they interviewed Chinkee Tan about the Money Mindset, a must watch!). I will also tell you more about the rest of my products here in the blog.

My takeaway was, it's a tough job to be a TV personality ha! It was my first time to guest on a talk show and my friends Nina & Marie who are pros in front of the camera had a lot of useful tips (wear more make-up, put on something colorful, etc.) for next time. My sister Nicole & my friend Dex saw the interview. Nic said I spoke softly, and Dex said I explained my products well...and I was demure.Which meant, I have to project, and practice my camera skillz zome more! I hope I didn't look like a pale ghost on TV, I must learn to wear make up.

Still, thanks Nic & Dex for the moral support! Thanks Nina & Marie for the tips! Will do you all proud next time promise. Neophyte, you know! And at least, my Ate Divine said, "Bongga pa din, I saw your Loboutins!" Hahaha, I 'm so shallow.

Anyhoo, because I was gone for a while, I have a lot of exciting stuff lined up for you, to compensate for my absence. I am talking majorly exciting stuff, some to be shared right away, some still in gestation to be revealed in time, but all fun!

Watch out for my next posts, coming up!

PS - Yes, I missed you all too!

Singapore Eats: PS. Cafe at Dempsey Hill

Don't let this rusty signage fool you. There is nothing old, corroded or creaky about P.S. Cafe. If anything, this cafe is charming, cozy, casual and has basically become our go to place for brunch on a lazy weekend.

Whenever we are here, I always tell myself I am up for a new dish, but after repeated scans through the menu, I always end up copying Dada's order - our old faithful, THE PS. Brunch Burger ($29). It's huge, so juicy, and always hits the spot! I will have to say, this is the best burger in Singapore I have tried, hands down. The bacon & crispy onions contribute to alternating pops of flavor that add dimension to the perfectly grilled patty. I don't usually eat eggs, but propped on top of the bun, nestling the protein, it's a welcome treat!

Homemade grilled wagyu & US chuck patty topped with camembert cheese, wilted spinach, crispy bacon, tomato, crispy onions, herby mayo & fried egg on a sesame bun with PS. Fries & aoili

Meanwhile, the PS. Fish & Chips ($28) is Berry's favorite. It's crunchy, tasty, fun and easy to eat! The perfect kiddie meal since it's not messy and the vegetable sticks add nutrition & color to the dish.

When my mom came to visit, we took her to brunch here of course. She got overwhelmed by the serving sizes passing by our table, so she ordered the Cheese & Caramelized Onion Quiche ($22). It's a light dish, portioned perfectly, so you won't over eat. The greens & fruit balance off the eggs & cheese so I'd say it's nothing to be guilty about.

Blue cheese & caramelized onions baked in a flaky tart shell, served with fresh fruit, salad greens & toasted nuts

I always say I would make room for dessert, and start off with great expectations, after seeing the dessert menu, but we often end up so full from our meal that we'd often pass.

Except for that one time that we had brunch with Sara, Bob & Peyton and we all dug into this delightful chocolate & marshmallow dessert, served with a side of vanilla ice cream that is just so "close your eyes & savor the goodness" kind of good! Some days, I catch myself dreaming of eating this. All by myself. No sharing. Ha!

Hmmm, maybe tomorrow is the day!
