Almost Like AllSaints

I love AllSaints. And I have my friend Sarj to thank for it. She was the one who tipped me off that the line was available at Bloomies in the US (way before they opened their SoHo flagship). After that, I was just hooked and now I own everything from scarves to tunics and dresses (all bought on sale of course). How I wish I could spring for a leather jacket, and dress Berry in AllSaints Kids.

The thing with AllSaints though is that the prices are bordering on sinful, until you wait for sale season. So you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled into Joe Browns, a site I just discovered that sells a couple of women's dresses inspired by AllSaints for a fraction of the price!

All these dresses from Joe Browns have distinct prints and the same voluminous shape reminiscent of AllSaints (especially the Hitch Dress), but less exaggerated. The last 3 dresses are in fact, more 50s housewife with an edge than pure AllSaints steampunk.

That with the affordable price combined, what's not to like?

Los Angeles 2011 Day 2: Rodeo Drive

The following day after we arrived in LA, we went out to do a bit of shopping. Take note, shopping of the errands sort and not splurge shopping, hehehe. Dada took photos of his girls while we were getting ready to go out:

Soon after, Trina and Jun came by to pick us up so we can go tick off the items in my shopping list - but first, we had to pay a visit to my holy grail of sorts in Rodeo Drive!

We also passed a couple of boutiques I wouldn't dare enter into, because I do not want to fall into temptation. Not that Dada will allow me to, one look, and I know it is time to head out the door. So, why bother. Bitter ba?

Berry also finally got to meet the adorable Tia, and I finally met Belle (my sister's SIL and my online buddy,  now real life buddy) as well. Belle's friend Liza, the Rodeo Drive veteran (and in this case, our photographer) was there to navigate for us. These girls are all super fun to shop with. They just know which stores to take me to.

Rodeo Drive was fun! I loved browsing the shoes at Barneys, Neiman Marcus and Saks. And the bags, O.M.G. Too bad I was not there to shop for big ticket items. Well, window shopping is enough for me these days anyway. Talaga!

Denims Go Dropping

My friend Sarj says she will dress up her kid in AllSaints. I can see why. I'd do the same thing. Let these pegs be a reminder and a reference for when Berry is bigger. =)
