Little Earth Tiddler: Natural, Organic & Ethically Sourced Goodies for Little Ones

It was a pleasant surprise when I discovered that Berry's favorite Organix Goodies was now available here in the Philippines, along with Bear Nibbles, Kiddlylicious, Carman's Yummos and Ella's Kitchen all natural kiddie snacks - thanks to Little Earth Tiddler!

Little Earth Tiddler is a kids’ online retailer that aims to provide a carefully curated product line to be enjoyed and loved by our most precious little ones.

The brainchild of a mom, Jan, and her best friends Julia and Innah, Little Earth Tiddler focuses on supplying nurturing products for our kids that are natural, organic and ethically sourced as much as possible.

Jan has personally tested everything on the site, and prior to bringing them in, frequently bugged her friends to bring these back from their trips, because of the dearth of choices back home.

From Jack n Jill's organic toothpaste to products by Tangle Teezer, Child's Farm, Thursday Plantation, and essentials like Hedrin Lice Spray Gel, Infacol Colic Relief, Britt Bear Mosquito Click, and more, Little Earth Tiddler's merchandise are chosen with care, and mostly sourced from the UK & Australia.

And because nurturing involves feeding the mind as well, Little Earth Tiddler stocks Usborne books, perfect for curious little minds!

For moms who are familiar with these brands, or looking for new products for their kids to try, hurry over to Little Earth Tiddler and stock up, stock up!

Butterfly Twists

Trina Franco-Molina, Dixie Lynn Tan and Tessa Mauricio-Ariola recently brought in a line of affordable, foldable ballet flats from the UK to the Philippines called Butterfly Twists.

Like most foldable ballet flats in the market, these are designed to twist into a tiny size.

But what makes it special is the construction. I have tried on other portable ballet flats before, and I have to admit, most of the soles are very flimsy. Like they really weren't meant to last. Butterfly Twists are designed to have a long lifespan.  The rubber soles are made from flexible silicone, the insole is cushioned and breathable.

Apart from the original Satin Collection (Black, Gold, Purple, Red and Aqua at P999/pair), Butterfly Twists also come in Leather (Black, Gold, Silver and White at P1,299/pair)

...and Python (Black, Navy, Silver, and Pink at P1399/pair).

Butterfly Twists come in 3 different sizes, and to make it easy to choose your size, just go for the color of the packaging: Red for Small (US Sizes 5-6), Orange for Medium (US Sizes 7-8), and Green for Large (US Sizes 9-10).

Butterfly Twists are available at Chocolate Clothing Company in TriNoMa, Moana and Aura Athletica in Power Plant Mall, Rockwell, The Flat Shop in Connecticut Arcade, Greenhills Shopping Center, HAB in Greenbelt 5, Shangri-la and Alabang Town Center, Fashion Forum in SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Makati, Aranaz in Greenbelt 5, Catalogue in Gaisano Mall, Davao, and Mian’s Closet in Mary Mart, Iloilo City

Let's Partay!

So my friend Cherie invited us to the launch of a Juvenal Sanso exhibit at an art gallery and now I am faced with that age old question a woman mulls over each time she has to go to a gathering: What do I wear?

For some reason, I have associated fun dress-up dresses with French Connection. Maybe it was Rumi Neely circa 2008, I dunno. So I googled French Connection dresses and found a couple of pieces that I can visualize wearing anywhere from a small, intimate dinner to a medium sized fĂȘte to a big, crazy shindig (how retro!).

Cute for a sailing party on a yacht when worn with espadrille wedges or
St. Tropez sandals from Rondini or K. Jacques.

To a morning wedding and/or garden reception, worn with nude pumps and
accessorized with a shell or mother of pearl minaudiere.

For a party that involves dancing, drinks and a lot of fun. Not that that's my sort of thing these days, but this sequin dress just conjures up images of a girl going clubbing.
Or I dunno, I could wrong, baduy and just plain out of touch na.

Something for a night out with the girls or with your man - dinner, music, wine, that sort of evening.

Well, these still never answered my question on what I should wear to the exhibit. Fine, I will just shop my closet.

Almost Like AllSaints

I love AllSaints. And I have my friend Sarj to thank for it. She was the one who tipped me off that the line was available at Bloomies in the US (way before they opened their SoHo flagship). After that, I was just hooked and now I own everything from scarves to tunics and dresses (all bought on sale of course). How I wish I could spring for a leather jacket, and dress Berry in AllSaints Kids.

The thing with AllSaints though is that the prices are bordering on sinful, until you wait for sale season. So you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled into Joe Browns, a site I just discovered that sells a couple of women's dresses inspired by AllSaints for a fraction of the price!

Check out these dresses from AllSaints (retail prices range from $175 to $370):
From L to R: Sheena, Lolita, and Ditzy Print Dresses

Now, check out these ones from Joe Browns (prices range from $25 to $75, converted from £):

Hitched Dress £15.95

Stunningly Understated Dress £44.95

Grafitti Chiffon Dress £21.95

Gorgeous Ditsy Dress £35.95

All these dresses from Joe Browns have distinct prints and the same voluminous shape reminiscent of AllSaints (especially the Hitch Dress), but less exaggerated. The last 3 dresses are in fact, more 50s housewife with an edge than pure AllSaints steampunk.

That with the affordable price combined, what's not to like?

Bright Bags!

Fluo satchels are hot, hot, hot! Kate Spade has been making news about their SS 2011 bag - the Essex Scout some weeks back, and now these are in stores!

The regular size retails for USD $395, while the small one is $295. I didn't really bother checking the price here in Singapore because I know it's more expensive. Besides, The Cambridge Satchel Co. is coming out with fluorescent satchels (as seen on the March 2011 issue of Elle UK) and we all know how much more affordable Cambridge Satchels are right?

To order your fluo Cambridge Satchel, email schushopmanila@gmail.com. We'll be waiting for your orders! ;)
