My True Value Private Sale Finds

I love True Value. Love. Love. I can spend hours just going through the aisles.

I usually have themes when I go. Sometimes it's garden supplies to give in to my CZ Guest dreams. One time it was panic buying for emergency supplies and grab bags for the house (btw, that's where I got our hand crank radio, no Amazon ordering required). Most of the time it's just random stuff our house needs, new door knobs, a garden hose, 3M hooks, light bulbs, organizing bins, etc.

I've actually picked up a couple of deals when I go sometimes. Like Lock&Lock containers at 20% off. What I didn't realize was that True Value has a major Private Sale in select stores at certain times of the year, with finds at up to 70% off!

That's what I discovered when I went to their recent Private Sale at True Value Shangri-la Plaza Mall. While it says "Private", its actually open to all, so when you see this outside the store, by all means, ENTER.

Here are some of my finds at the store!

Grabe si Cake Boss, big time na. We used to go to his bakeshop in Hoboken for canoli and cake, now, he has a full line of baking tools. 20% off from September 16 to October 31 at True Value.

Ahhhh, the grayns rice cooker, 10% off! They had a demo during the Private Sale, so if you want to see for yourself how rice cooked with a Grayns rice cooker tastes like, this is where you can try.

Biokips containers are 30% off.

The Scanpan line was at 30% off too.

The knives were at Buy One, Take One.



Kitchen Aid baking pans also at 50% off...

As well as the Broil King BBQ Grill.

This Rover Systems CCTV Camera Kit was at 20% off. It was going to come to around Php15k, if I remember right. The images were really clear because it has a High Definition camera. 

I love these Stanley tools! Imagine having a carpentry shed with a wall of these? Or maybe that's just me. Heehee. Most tools across brands at 20% off.

Door knobs and locks at 40% off.



This Briggs & Stratton generator at 30% off.

Yale padlocks all at 30% off.

Spray paint at 20% off.

Bosch power tools are 20% off.

I was hoping for deals on Blueair replacement filters and my friend Emily asked me to check out if Weber grills were on sale, but these weren't part of the Private Sale. So for now, putting this out here, just so you know True Value carries these brands too.

This was really just the tip of the iceberg because practically the entire store was on sale when I went. So, watch out for the Private Sale when it happens at your favorite True Value branch!

I got to watch this Grayns demo and I loved it!



I often see this "rice cooker that takes the sugar out of rice" pop out on my Facebook feed but I thought it was just one of those concept products that have yet to be produced.

It takes 45 minutes for the rice to cook in it, but in fairness, the taste wasn't drastically different.

I got to try the rice cooked in a Grayns rice cooker and apart from taking out the sugar, it also made the brown rice come out fluffier and softer than it would if it was cooked in a conventional rice cooker. Same for the white rice. But I was really impressed at how it made eating brown rice less of a sacrifice

But at Php27k for this, the Lolo beside me who did a taste test said magka-diabetes na lang daw sya, haha. Although hey, if you're serious about keeping your blood sugar and diet in check, this comes out cheaper than spending for insulin shots and diet delivery meals.

The health and wellness fair happens across all Rustan’s stores and The Beauty Source branches from January 20 to 31, 2017.
