Mom Pop Up!

My friend Rone of Mothering Earthlings gathered all her favorite mompreneurs for the first ever Mom Pop Up!, happening this Saturday, from 10 am to 6 pm, at the Function Room of Kensington Place in Bonifacio Global City.

The Isabel rag doll by Anthill Fabric Gallery! Each rag doll by Anthill is exquisitely handmade from scrap fabrics and therefore unique, with her own personality. No two dolls are alike. More than that, buying an Isabel rag doll supports a community of mothers in Cebu, who lovingly make these dolls.

Unfortunately for you guys, my sister and I loved it so much, we ended buying most of the dolls last month, and gave them as gifts to deserving little girls heehee. I think there are only two dolls left in the Mothering Earthlings website. Eeep!

Little girls talaga! Most of my mommy friends have daughters who are about the same age as Berry if not a little bit older or younger. They all seem to agree that their daughters never get tired of pink. Everything has to be pink. What is it about pink that just appeals to little girls? Slate.com has THE ANSWER. 

To my fellow parents with pink-obsessed girls, the good news is, this is just a toddler phase and one they will eventually outgrow. And if it takes them a while to outgrow? Speaking of Mothering Earthlings, over the weekend, I met Rone Valles Guerrero of Mothering Earthlings, which reminded me! OMG! I promised her back in November that I'd write about her online clothing store that specializes in children's clothes (she has pieces for babies and mamas too!). It's a site that just has to be shared because it's filled with pieces that's perfect for when you want to buy unique gifts for the little ones in your life.

A mom of two boys, Rone started Mothering Earthlings to encourage self-expression. What sets Mothering Earthlings apart from most Filipino online shopping sites is that Mothering Earthlings has two online shops - one for the local market and one for the international market.
